On May 15th, 2007, Vanessa and Matthew Blais a welcomed beautiful baby boy Cody Blais into our world and their life.  Since he was born, Cody has always been one step ahead of himself, up on his feet walking and talking earlier than most children his age.  It's these skills that helped himself and his parents save his life.  Vanessa and Matt noticed that Cody had stopped walking and was crawling using only his left side.  The usually cheery, happy go-lucky Cody was not acting like himself.  This prompted Vanessa and Matt to bring Cody to the pediatrician for a diagnoses.  After a few days and it was clear that Cody was worsening.  They packed Cody up and brought him to the emergency room at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI.  It was then after countless tests with negative results that an MRI showed a large brain tumor that needed to be removed immediately.  The surgery was a success, removing 100% of the tumor.  A biopsy of the tumor was taken and when the results came back  Cody was diagnosed with a rare form of Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (AT/RT).  As you can imagine this has been a tough time for Cody and his family.  Cody will be starting his chemotherapy soon and our prayers will be with him everyday.  As we have more information we will add to the updates portion of our site.
